| 1. Plug the system into your phone jack. 2. Plug the system into a power outlet. 3. Test the system - Press the pendant OR the TEST button. |

| 1. Senior presses the pendant button. 2. Medical Alert unit makes very loud sound that it has been activated. 3. Medical Alert unit calls a private, toll free 800 number (no long distance charges). 4. Response Center responds in seconds. 5. Response Center actions: Emergency Situation: A. Emergency paramedics are dispatched. B. Patient Care Plan information provided to Emergency paramedics. C. Designated family members are immediately called. No answer / response from Senior (considered emergency situation): A. Emergency paramedics are dispatched. B. Patient Care Plan information provided to Emergency paramedics. C. Designated family members are immediately called. Non emergency situation (e.g. testing the system): A. Call family member(s) if requested by Senior B. Thank the Senior for using the medical alert system. NOTE: You may designate on Patient Care Plan if you want family members called before paramedics. |
